The Sacred City of Dion Tour

Highlights:  Dion archaeological site & Archaeological Museum, Mt. Olympus, Litohoron village

Outline: Drive to the foothills of Mt. Olympus and start with a tour of Dion, the sacred city of the Macedonians where the Olympic Games were held in ancient times. Visit the Roman Baths, the Hellenistic Theatre and the Sanctuaries of the Olympic Gods. Walking along the ancient streets of the city, see the ruins of old villas (including the magnificent villa of Dionysos) and the various shops inside the Walls. Continue with a visit to the Archaeological Museum. After lunch, visit the picturesque village of Litohoron and enjoy the view of Mt. Olympus as well as one of the most important Natural Parks of the country.
